Ever since moving to Boise, every time I drive down to the Salt Lake area I look forward to this little stand of trees that is off to the side of I-84. I don't know what kind of tree they are, nor do I know why they are there. But I do know that they were put there on purpose. They are planted in perfectly even rows and columns, and as you drive past you can see straight down each row - the visual effect can be mesmerizing. Good thing it's a small stand of trees. :)
On this latest trip down 84, I had time to actually stop and take some pictures. The stand is surrounded by a barbed-wire fence, so I could not take any shots from inside the stand like I wanted to, but the shots I did get are pretty great.
